This RL Drake 2-B, Communications & Amateur Receiver 3.5 to 30 mhZ, is in very Good cosmetic Condition, and is  S/N 0282

This Receiver looks good. The front face is  in good shape, and the cabinet has been repainted and looks nice and shiny.

I did power up the receiver and it receives signals on the bands I tested.

The BFO / OFF position of the BFO switch is intermittent in the off position.

It will no doubt benefit with an alignment and perhaps some tube replacement, as the sensitivity is down.

The electrolytic capacitors should be replaced as they are original.

I am selling this receiver as is as described for parts or repair, for the family of a silent key.

The Drake 2B follows the model 2A and is an analog display, tube receiver covering:  3.5-4.1, 6.9-7.5, 13.9-14.5, 20.9-21.5 and 28.5-29.1 MHz plus seven additional empty ranges. Modes of reception include Selectable Sideband with product detector, Amplitude Modulation with diode or product detector and CW with either detector. The bandwidth values are:  3.6, 2.1, 0.5 kHz -6dB. Features include:  ź inch Headphone Jack, S-Meter, RF Gain, AVC SLOW/FAST, Preselector, Mute Line, Sidetone Jack, Speaker Terminals, BFO, PBT, Dial Set, Diode/Product Detector, Dial Lamp, ANL and Socket for optional Q-Multiplier. This radio requires a speaker.
