ETO Alpha 274 HF Linear Amplifier, Three Tube Version 10-80 meters with Manual Tuning System in Excellent Condition

ETO Alpha 274 HF Linear Amplifier, Three Tube Version 10-80 meters with Manual Tuning System in Excellent Condition.

 This is the manual tune version of the Alpha 374 which has a no tune circuit. 

It is also a very rare three tube version as most 274s I belive, only had two tubes.

  It is Serial Number 3613 and is beautiful condition. 

  Inside This one is super clean.

It had updated professionally made Panels purchased and installed on the top and sides. these panel were offered to 374 and 274 amp owners in a beautiful dark brown color that matches the color and finish of the Signal One transceivers of the day.

 This Amp is part of a silent key’s collection I am selling. This Amplifier was purchased by him in the 1990s and has been stored unused in a controlled environment since then.

  The Alpha Legacy amplifiers are Known as the best Amateur Linear amplifiers made.

 The transformer is a high performance  Hypersil sealed transformer made for a three tube amplifier.

  The efficient cooling system keeps the tubes cool.

 Unlike many other HF amplifiers, this one uses a 2500 VDC Oil Filled Main capacitor that is much less likely to fail like paper electrolytic capacitors.

  I tested this amplifier on my bench on all bands and it works great with no apparent problems. I only tested the amplifier for output, high voltage, and the meter circuit. 

It has full output tubes and It puts out full specified power as per the manual. (it puts out more power than the manual recomends to run!)

  I will remove the transformer and ship it separately. I will also include a copy of the Operation and Technical manual, with extra information about this very cool amplifier.

 I am selling this beautiful amplifier as is, as described for the family of a silent key. Due to the difficulties packing and shipping, I will not accept returns on this item.
