Description

This RL Drake R-4 HF Receiver in Very Good cosmetic condition S/N 3714

The Cabinet on this receiver has been refinished nicely with Black Crinkle paint and looks very good.

The front face is very clean with no bad marks or scratches.

The Chassis looks to be in great shape with some minor discoloring.

I put this receiver on the air and it is working and receiving signals on 80 and 40 meters, which I have an antenna for.

The receiver worked on USB. LSB, and AM. All bandwidths work as they should and the calibrator works good.

It does appear that this Receiver will need some attention and alignment with the pass band tuning.

As with most vintage receivers, It is likely it will need to have some of the tubes replaced and an alignment to get it to factory specifications but it appears to be working  as it is.

I am selling this Receiver as is, as  described, for parts or repair, for a client who is downsizing his collection due to selling his house.
