Swan (Transceivers with 5.500 MHz IF) RARE Magnum 6, Model RF6DB-S, RF Speech Processor in Excellent Condition

This Swan (Transceivers with 5.500 MHz IF) RARE Magnum 6, Model RF6DB-S, RF Speech Processor, is in Excellent Condition

 Magnum 6 Speech processors were initially made for Collins Radios but they did make some for other radios and this one is a rare unit for the Swan Transceivers with a 5.500 IF.

 It was made in the early 1970s by Communications Technology Group.

The Magnum 6 RF6DB is one of the best RF Speech Processors ever made.

It has a Swan 5.500 SSB filter just like the SSB filter in the radio.

 The Magnum 6 uses the filter in the unit in conjunction with the same filter in the radio to assure a clean signal while adding 6 DB talk power (a 400% increase!)

I do not have the Magnum 6 manual for this model. The collins manual does have a lot of information that applies and can be used to study.

This model was specifically designed for use with the Yaesu FTDX-560.

This unit requires an interface cable with a 7 pin socket, that plugs into the IF tube and then you plug the IF tube in the top of the socket. This provides the power and in and out connections.

I do not have the interface cable so you would have to make up a cable with a 7 pin IF tube socket and header to plug in. I included two pictures so you can see what it looks like to halp build one.

I have included a picture of the cable and socket so you can see how it is made.

 You rarely find the Magnum 6 in this beautiful condition.

 This is part of a Collectors estate and my notes indicate they were tested some time ago. I have stored them here for several year in a clean, dry environment.

I am selling it as is as described.
