This EF Johnson Viking Valiant Transmitter, covers 10-160 Meters and is in in Very Good Cosmetic Condition.

NOTE: This is a pick up item only. (Near Green Bay, Wisconsin)

The AC cord on this transmitter will need to be replaced. I was able to power it up and it came on and the tubes light up, but other than that it is untested so it may need some attention.

 I have Capacitor replacement kits available for this transmitter.

 The front panel is in excellent shape as pictured. The cabinet is also nice with no dents or dings. It has some sharpie touch ups but looks pretty good for a 65 year old radio.

 There are many articles on line for restoring and servicing this transmitter.

 I am selling it as is, as described, to be picked up near Green Bay, Wisconsin.

Description:

The Johnson Viking Valiant amateur transmitter covers 160, 80, 40, 20, 15, and 10 meters in AM, CW modes. Single sideband is also supported with optional SSB exciter.

Power input is 275 watts CW(/SSB) and 200 watts AM. Stable built-in VFO with 6 to 1 planetary tuning drive. In robust 18 gauge metal cabinet to reduce TVI.

Transmitter fuses are located in the AC power plug and separate internal fuse provides protection for low voltage power transformer and assorted components. Offered assembled or in kit form.

The final is a pair of 6146 tubes. Power: 105-125 VAC 50-60 Hz.
