Collins 51S-1 Winged Emblem Communications Receiver in Excellent Condition with Dial Brake & New Cabinet Working Great S/N 4360

This Collins 51S-1 Winged Emblem Communications Receiver, is in Excellent Cosmetic and Working Condition.

 It is a later Serial number and has the factory Dial Brake installed as most late 51S-1s do.

 The cabinet and trim ring are a brand new Reproduction Cabinet with the same Baked Enamel paint and finish.

 The chassis does not have any corrosion, and I can see not work or modifications done.

 This Receiver was special ordered with a 2.4 KC SSB Filter and 800 Hz CW Filter. It also receives very well in the AM mode.

This Receiver is working very well on all band segments, which leads me to believe it was serviced and aligned at some point. The calibrator tone can be heard in the pass band all the way through all 30 band segments.

This one has a weighted tuning PTO knob. The Weight is a brass insert on the back of the original PTO knob and this gives it a weighted feel just like the original Collins Weighted PTO knobs.

This unit has the original Amber colored Honeywell meter face. If you prefer  a new white translucent meter face I have them available.

 This receiver has a serial number 4360.

I will include the  power cord with this 51S-1.

I am selling this receiver as is, as described for the family of a silent key who was my friend.

This receiver has all the original electrolytic capacitors and I highly recommend they be replaced before prolonged use. I have them available listed under Collins Capacitors.
