Collins 75S-3B Receiver, in Very Good Cosmetic Condition Needs Work

 This Collins 75S-3B Receiver, is serial number 17721.   It is in Very Good Cosmetic Condition. 

 This receiver will need some repair and work.

I tested this unit and found the Mode switch Wafer to be broken as pictured, and the PTO shaft slipping to you cannot tune it. Nothing seems broken in the dial assembly.

 It powers up fine and the radio does receive with the preselector peaking on the different bands.

The cabinet and front face plate look very nice with no bad scratches or marks. 

 This receiver has a metal trim ring which is desirable as it will not "yellow" with age as the ABS plastic trim rings will do.

It has original Collins feet and front risers.

The receiver comes with a Power cord and I will provide a reproduction of the manual. I also have a variety of Original Collins manuals on my web site.

There are no optional filters installed just the standard SSB Filter. It has all the factory installed Crystals.

This receiver is well worth the time to put is back in service but is also a great resource for parts as it is complete and shows no signs of being hacked up or butchered!

I am very proficient packing this type of heavy vintage radio gear. The unit will be double boxed and professionally packed to a degree you can not get from normal packing facilities.

The Collins 75S-3B is a high quality amateur band receiver featuring AM, CW, LSB and USB modes. Frequency ranges:  3.4-3.6, 3.6-3.8, 3.8-4, 7-7.2, 7.2-7.4, 14-14.2, 14.2-14.4, 14.8-15, 21-21.2, 21.2-21.4, 21.4-21.6 and 28.5-28.7 MHz. Features include:  S-Meter, Preselector, 100 kHz Crystal Calibrator, Rejection Tuning, AGC OFF/SLO/FST, BFO and Fiduciary Adjust. It has rear panel jacks for:  Anti-Vox Jack, Sidetone Jack, Speaker and Mute.

The 75S-3B matches the Collins 32S-3 transmitter. Requires a speaker. 14.75 x 7.75 x 12.5 inches 20 lbs.
