Collins KWM-2 / 2A Magnum 6, Model RF6DB-C RF Speech Processor with 9 Pin Interface Cable in Collector Quality Condition #5

This Collins KWM-2 / 2A Magnum 6, Model RF6DB-C RF Speech Processor, comes with  9 Pin Interface Cable for use with the KWM-2.  This one is in Collector Quality Condition with no bad marks or scratches.

 It was made in the early 1970s by Communications Technology Group.

This is a later made unit S/N A429 with a single circuit board with the Collins filter mounted on it.

The Magnum 6 RF6DB-C is one of the best RF Speech Processors ever made. It has a Collins F 455 FA 21 Mechanical filter just like the SSB filter in the KWM-2 and KWM-2A.

 The Magnum 6 uses the Collins filter in the unit in conjunction with the same filter in the radio to assure a clean signal while adding 6 DB talk power (a 400% increase!)

This model was specifically designed for use with the Collins KWM-2 or KWM-2A or the 32S-1 / 2 / 3 Transmitter. The 32S series requires an interface cable with a 7 pin socket. This unit has the 9 pin socket for the KWM-2 and you would have to make up a cable for use with the 32S.

 You rarely find the Magnum 6 in this beautiful condition and usually without the interface cable.

 This is part of a Collectors estate and my notes indicate they were tested some time ago. I have stored them here for several year in a clean, dry environment.
