Description

This Collins Round Emblem 75S-3B Receiver, is a Late serial number 85333

The MCN 3 is 1894 and this receiver has the T9 Transformer.

This run of 75S-3B receivers is very desirable as they were made in Cedar Rapids where the staff has been building Collins Radios for decades.

The 75S-3B is essentially the same as the 75S-3C but without the second Crystal Deck.

It has been stored unused for many years. It has never been in a smoking environment and it is very clean.

This Radio is absolutely beautiful with no bad marks or scratches, only a few tiny marks from normal use. The Crystals have some patina on them which is common.

The front panel is also nice with no marks or scratches. Everything appears to be original.

This receiver has a metal trim ring which is desirable as it will not "yellow" with age as the ABS plastic trim rings will do.

It has original Collins feet and front risers. It is rare these days to find a 75S-3B in this nice condition.

I have used this receiver on the air and it is working great with no obvious problems.

The receiver comes with an Original Power cord and I will provide a reproduction of the manual.

I also have a variety of Original Collins manuals on my web site.

There are no optional filters installed just the standard SSB Filter.

I am very proficient packing this type of heavy vintage radio gear.

The unit will be double boxed and professionally packed to a degree you can not get from normal packing facilities.

It would be prudent to change the original electrolytic capacitors as they are all original. As with most vintage gear it may benefit with an alignment but seems to be working fine as it is.

I have capacitor replacement kits available for this receiver and will provide one at my cost if you want one.
