Description

This Howard 450A 1938 RARE Communications Receiver, is in Very Good Condition.

I tested this beautifull Pre WW II receiver on the air, and it powered up just fine and received signals on the broadcast and other bands.

I did not test it long because the paper capacitors should be replaced before it is put into continuous service.

This receiver has a hinged hatch on the back you can open and gain access to most of the tubes. Many of which are the original Howard brand tubes.

I think this is Howard's top receiver and it has a wonderful dial and frequency read out.

This receiver is part of a collection of a client who is getting ready to move. He has compiled many vintage receivers and has worked to get the best example of them he could.

1938 Howard model 450A 12-tube 6-band communications receiver covering 550 kHz to 60 MHz. Features include bandspread tuning (amateur bands 160m - 6m)

I am very proficient at packing and shipping vintage tube type gear and I purchase the proper packing materials.

The shipping quote should be close but if it cost less to ship I will refund the difference.

I am selling this receiver as is, as described.
