Description

This Kenwood MC-60A High or Low Impedance Amplified Desk Microphone, is in Very Good Condition and works great.

There are a few small marks from normal use but it looks pretty nice as you can see in the pictures.

If used with the mic amp switch in the out position the mic is not amplified and does not need batteries.

The only time batteries are needed, is when used with a radio that does not supply the voltage at the mic connector and you want to use it with the amplifier switch in.

I am selling it as is, as described for a friend.

The Kenwood MC-60A is a communication type dynamic unidirectional moving coil type mic element. It features UP-DOWN tuning (on compatible Kenwood transceivers) plus a built-in pre-amp.

There is a switch for PTT (push to talk) and also a lock feature. The mic impedance may be set for 50k Ohms or 500 Ohms. The frequency response is 150 Hz to 10 kHz (-6dB) with the Preamp off and 200 Hz to 7 kHz (-6 dB) with the Preamp on. The heavy zinc die-cast base provides extra stability.

The mic terminates to a standard 8 pin mic plug. The preamp requires two AA cells which are mounted through the bottom of the base.
