This RL Drake L7 HF Amplifier covers 15-160 Meters and comes with the L7 PS Power Supply Updated with Power Supply Board Kit with New Modern Capacitors, Both Restored by Ron WB4HFN In Excellent Condition.

Both the RF Deck and Power Supply are in the original shipping cartons.

 I will include the invoices for both the Amplifier and power supply outlining the restoration work Ron Baker did.

 The L7 Serial Number is 682 and the L7PS Serial Number is 2121.

 The power supply update will assure years of trouble free operation with new modern electrolytic capacitors, diodes, and resistors.

 The RF deck is in beautiful condition.

 The Cabinet is the original Gray finish (not black vinyl) and is free from any marks or scratches.

 I checked this amplifier on my bench and it works great on all bands.

I loaded it up on each band key down on the low HV CW position and it put out over 800 watts. I then checked it on the HV SSB position and talking into the microphone, I saw over 1200 watts output. The Tubes are RF Parts 3-500ZG tubes.

I will include a reproduction of the manual.

I am selling this Amplifier as is as described, for a client who is offering his collection for sale. He has been collecting the best RL Drake gear over the years and spent a good amount of money updating and restoring RL Drake gear.

  Due to the difficulties packing and shipping I cannot accept returns on this item.

The Drake L-7 provides 2000 watts input on SSB and 1000 watts on CW or RTTY. It covers 160, 80, 40, 20 and 15 meters. This amp employs a pair of the 3-500Z triodes. There is a by-pass switch. There is a built-in RF wattmeter (calibrated with 300 and 3000 watt scales) with forward and reverse switchable readings. Power requirements are 115 VAC 50-60 Hz 30 amps or 230 VAC 50-60 Hz 15 amps. The power supply is housed in a separate enclosure. This amp features a temperature controlled, two speed fan. 13.7 x 6.75 x 14.25 inches 27 lbs. plus 43 lbs for the power supply.
