This RL Drake R7 HF Communications Receiver In Excellent Condition with NB-7A Noise Blanker, SL-300, SL-500, SL-1800, & SL-4000 Optional Filters installed.

This Receiver has recently been Fully Serviced, Aligned and Restored by Ron Baker WB4HFN and was purchased by my friend Bill Shadid. 

 Bill no longer has the service invoice but I remember when he purchased this nice receiver from Ron.

  If you are looking for a nice R7, this is a great example.

This item is part of Bill Shadid's collection (W9MXQ)   Bill has been collecting fine vintage gear for many years, always looking for the cleanest and nicest of each model. 

 He has decided to sell some of the gear to free up more room, (Hopefully for more Gear!)  Bill writes articles about vintage Amateur radio gear and is an excellent Technician.

 All his gear has been recently tested and checked for functionality before being delivered to me, to offer on my website.

The R.L. Drake Company produced the R7A as a refinement of their popular R7.

Complete coverage is provided from 10 kHz to 30 MHz. Modes include SSB, CW, RTTY, SSTV and AM. Eight additional 500 kHz segments between 0 and 30 MHz may be programmed into the optional AUX7 board.

The R7A features an S-Meter, RF preamp, IF Notch, 4 position AGC (including an AGC off position), RIT and Pass Band Tuning. Frequency tuning is accomplished via sixty 500 kHz bands selected by a rotary band knob and Up/Down button selection.

Three selectivity bandwidths are provided: 9, 2.3 and 0.5 kHz. The R7A exhibits especially strong sensitivity on the lower HF frequencies making it a favorite among Tropical band DXers. The R7A operates from AC or 12 VDC power.
