RL Drake RARE T-4 Reciter Add On Transmitter for the R-4 & R-4A Receiver in Collector Quality Condition

This RL Drake RARE T-4 Reciter Transmit Add On for the R-4 & R-4A Receivers, Is in Collector Quality Condition.

This one is Serial Number 0155, and has been stored unused, in a dry, controlled, non smoking environment, and is part of a large Collection from someone who worked for years to find the cleanest examples of Vintage Drake Radio Gear.

This particular Reciter is super clean inside and out. They are indeed Rare, especially in this beautiful condition. 

Both the cabinet and Face Plate are free from any bad scratches or marks.

I tested this unit on my bench and it powers up okay and puts out well over 100 watts on 40 meters.

This T-4 Requires a Drake AC-4 Power supply (not included)

 I will make available, a later serial number AC-4 power supply to the purchaser of this T-4.  Please let me know when you purchase this item, if you need a power supply.

In 1965, Drake introduced the T-4 "reciter" which was a transmitter add on for the R4 series receivers (it had no PTO of its own and used the PTO and other signals from the R-4 & R-4A receiver, to generate the transmit signal), making them a two piece "transceiver".  It is basically the same as the T-4X Transmitter without the PTO.

It saw limited sales and is a rare item on the used ham gear lists.
