Description
ITT 6LQ6 / 6JE6C Used Amplifier Tube for HF Amplifiers Tested & Guaranteed
This tube set and all others, has been tested on a B&K Dynaquick 700 Tube tester. It shows grid full emission.
The 6LQ6 is a vintage beam power pentode (also known as a horizontal deflection or "sweep" tube) designed in the late 1960s–1970s for television receivers, particularly color sets. It excels in high-voltage, pulsed applications like horizontal output stages, but ham radio enthusiasts often repurpose it in RF linear amplifiers (e.g., replacing 6KD6 in Hy-Gain models) due to its 30W plate dissipation, low capacitances, and rugged construction. The tube features a 9-pin Novar (Magnoval) base and is electrically identical to equivalents like 6JE6C, 6LF6, 6ME6, and 6MJ6—making it a direct drop-in for many circuits.
