Collins S-Line PTO Weighted Knob Insert for PTO Knobs with Finger Hole #1

This Collins S-Line Weighted PTO Knob Insert, is custom made for most of the PTO Knobs with Finger Hole.

 This Weighted insert is designed for Collins Spinner PTO knobs (with Finger Hole)

 Looking at the back of your PTO knob, and the bump from the finger hole at the 12:00 o'clock position, the set screws should be at the 3:00 o'clock and 6:00 o'clock position.

 Most of the Collins PTO Spinner knobs are configured this way. If your set screws are at the 6:00 o'clock and 9:00 o'clock position there is a hole drilled for that set screw as well.

NOTE: The PTO tuning knob in the photograph is for demonstration only, and is not included. Only the brass insert and set screws are included.

This Solid Brass Insert, is Custom Made for the Collins PTO tuning knob, which has the finger spinner hole as found on the S-Line. KWM-2, KWM-2A, 312B-5,  62S-1, and other Collins gear using the PTO knob with finger hole.

 The  51S-1, requires an additional cutout and is also available in another listing. 

 NOTE: It is possible that some very early spinner knobs, may have a larger inner hub which will not allow the use of this insert.

 If the inner hub on your knob measures about 5/8 in diameter (1.5 CM) this insert should fit.

 If you do find this insert will not fit, I will return your payment in full, and pay for the return shipping.

This Insert is custom Made in the USA by Americans, and is of the highest quality.

 You Simply remove the PTO Spinner knob, completely remove the original Bristol set screws, drop in the custom made insert and line up the locator notch, partially screw in the two slightly longer Bristol set screws which come with the knob insert, slide it back on the PTO shaft, and tighten the set screws.

The two set screws that are 90 degrees apart, will hold this insert in place and will not allow the insert to move!

NOTE: The Bristol set screws I provide are Stainless Steel and come with a Certificate of Compliance in reference to Rockwell Collins 96 HRB - 33 HRC.  They are very expensive as compared to Hex head set screws and are appropriate for Collins Gear which all use Bristol Spline Set Screws. 

Very simple and very easy to install. The Bristol set screws included with this insert, are the same size as the original set screws so you can use the same Bristol wrench.

You will now have a knob that weighs about the same as an original Collins weighted knob, (about 5 ounces) at a fraction of the cost, and with no modification to your original knob.

With this product, you now have the option to fit all of your Collins S-Line, 51S-1, and KWM-2 with a weighted knob.

Complete aftermarket Machined knobs being sold these days, are not, and do not look original. Others are very expensive and hard to find. This is a great option and will give a better "feel" tuning your radios.
