I tested this crystal on my custom crystal checker and it is on frequency.

 
Key Role in the SB-303 and others.
  • The receiver uses a product detector to mix the 3.395 MHz IF signal with the BFO for demodulating SSB and CW signals.
  • This crystal provides injection slightly above the IF center frequency, positioning the carrier for proper USB reception and unwanted sideband rejection through the standard 2.1 kHz SSB crystal filter (centered at 3.395 MHz).
  • A separate BFO crystal (often around 3.393 MHz or similar offset) is used for lower sideband (LSB).
  • The SB-303 also supports RTTY mode with possible additional BFO shift options.
  • This design is essentially identical to the earlier vacuum-tube SB-301 in terms of IF and BFO scheme.
