Description
This Stromberg-Carlson 1951 Vintage AM-49 Audio Amplifier Designed for 12 Volt Mobile Use, in Excellent Condition.
It is called the "Chief" in the literature I have seen. This one may be a later version as it does not have the name Chief on the front panel.
It also has a second Knob on the front that has a potentiometer leading to the phono plug on the top. It looks factory installed.
I have taken an inside picture to show the information tag with the tube line up.
This is a very cool piece and this one has the detachable mobile bracket on the back.
This is the AM-49 which is the 12 volt version. The AM-48 is the 6 volt version.
It is complete and is untested.
I am selling it as is, as describedThis Strobe-Carlson 1951 Vintage AM-49 Audio Amplifier, was Designed for 12 Volt Mobile Use. It is in Excellent Condition.
