Description

This Vintage Taylor 810 Vacuum Tube High Power Transmitting Triode, is NOS in the Original Box.

I have a number of these tubes that were purchased in the 1990's from RF Parts.

They are made by Shu Guang in China, under the Taylor brand.

**All the tubes I sell are tested and come with a money back, satisfaction guarantee**

The Shu Guang company was a military supply company and this vintage batch of 810  Transmitter / Modulator tubes are known as reliable and high quality as compared to today's imported 810 tubes.

Each one of the stock I have, has been tested in a Collins KW-1, 1000 watt transmitter and are all performing up to spec as new tubes.

This is the only way to make sure they are good, and the ability to compare many 810 tubes in the KW-1 assures reliable comparative testing against well known brands like RCA and others.

The boxes are even high quality material with foam packing to protect the tube from vibration and damage. Many are marked 1933-12-19

The original Taylor Tubes company (founded ~1930–1932 in Chicago by E.E. Taylor) produced real 810 tubes in the 1930s–1940s (with catalogs from 1937–1939), but those were U.S.-made and are now rare NOS or used-old-stock items.

Chinese factories have been making 810-style tubes for decades for the amateur radio, audio, and hobbyist markets, often under revived historic brands like Taylor for marketing appeal.

The “serial number” 1933-12-19 written on the box is not a production date for these tubes. It likely references the early 1930s (when the original Taylor company was active and producing transmitting tubes) or is a batch/lot marking chosen by the Chinese manufacturer to evoke a vintage feel on replica-style boxes
