Description
Ten-Tec Model 507 Patriot factory assembled (not a kit) open-source QRP CW transceiver New in Original Box
This item is new in the original box from Ten-Tec.
I am selling this item for a friend who collected Ten-Tec gear for many years, and purchased these items for his collection and did not use them.
it is sold as is, as described.
The Ten-Tec Model 507 Patriot is a factory-assembled, open-source QRP transceiver introduced in 2014 (announced at Dayton Hamvention and QRP ARCI's Four Days in May). It covers 40m and 20m (dual-band, switchable via internal jumper or menu) and supports SSB (LSB on 40m, USB on 20m), CW, and digital modes (with appropriate interfacing). It's built around a chipKIT Uno32 (Arduino-compatible) processor for easy user modifications and programming.Key Specifications and Features
- Power Output: Up to 5 watts (typically 4-5W on 12-13.8V DC).
- Receiver: Quiet with selectable bandwidths (wide ~2.5 kHz, medium ~1.5 kHz, narrow ~800 Hz).
- Controls: AF gain, RIT (± range), tuning steps (100 Hz/1 kHz/10 kHz default), band select, mic/line levels (recessed pots), CW speed.
- Display: Stock version has no visual display (frequency announced in CW tones via speaker/headphones or LED flashes); community mods add LCD/OLED displays.
- Connectors: BNC antenna (50 ohms), 8-pin mic (Ten-Tec compatible), 1/8" key/paddle, 1/8" speaker/headphone, 2.1mm DC power (12-15V).
- Other: DDS VFO for drift-free operation, 100% open-source hardware/software (great for mods like PAM - Patriot Alliance Modification), no built-in keyer or auto-tuner in stock form.
- Power: 12-15 VDC, low current draw.
Manuals, schematics, and community firmware/mods are freely available online (e.g., QRPer.com, GitHub, or Ten-Tec archives). It's a fun, expandable rig for SSB/CW/digital ops or experimentation.
