Description
This Sepanian Precision Dual Section Air Variable Capacitor, has two sections, each measures 180 pF. The Specifications indicate 8 to 180 pf for each section. It actually maxes out at 191 pF.
The voltage rating is 350V rms max.
The part number is N50-180 X2 PT
This Capacitor has a built in 8:1 Planetary Reduction Drive which makes it a very precise tuning capacitor with no backlash or slip.
The shaft on this unit is 2 1/2 inch long and can be trimmed to fit if desired.
The full dimensions are, 3 3/4 inches long, 1 3/8 wide, and 1 5/16 high not counting the solder tabs.
The mounting holes on the bottom are drilled and tapped for screws, the other mounting holes are not tapped with threads.
I have several units as they were to be used in a commercial radio project that never went into production.
They were very expensive to have made and I am selling them at a surplus price.
