Ampex Model 745 / 731 professional analog VU meter manufactured for Ampex professional 350 reel-to-reel tape recorders & 351 Preamp NOS

  Ampex may have changed the mounting configuration on the back so please look at the pictures close. This meter has two mounting studs near the middle but it would appear you can put studs in the 4 corners as well by removing the 4 small screws.

 This Illuminated VU meter is Brand New, never used.

Ampex Model 745 is a classic professional analog VU (Volume Unit) meter with a large bakelite case, originally manufactured for Ampex professional reel-to-reel tape recorders.

  • Ballistics: Meets industry-standard VU specifications (300 ms rise time, limited overshoot).
