Description

Collins AOR MF6.0 6KC Mechanical filter P/N 526-8636-010 For AOR AR3030, AR7030 & Other AOR Radios NOS

This filter is new

New Old Stock genuine Collins/Rockwell 455 kHz 8-resonator mechanical filter. This is the factory standard 6.0 kHz AM filter (≈5.5 kHz @ -3 dB) used in the highly regarded AOR AR3030 and compatible with AR7030 receivers. Provides outstanding selectivity and shape factor far superior to ceramic filters. Low insertion loss, stable, high-performance IF filter ideal for AM broadcast, utility, or general HF listening. Also adaptable to other 455 kHz IF radios. Rare NOS part—perfect for restoration or spare. Limited stock.
Compatible Radios and UsesThis is the standard AM filter (6 kHz nominal) for the AOR AR3030 HF communications receiver. It is also listed as compatible with the AOR AR7030 (standard or optional AM filter position).

It is a Collins "low-cost" torsional mechanical filter designed for 455 kHz IF applications, often praised for excellent selectivity and shape factor compared to ceramic filters. It has been used or adapted in other receivers (e.g., some Yaesu models or homebrew projects) needing a wide AM mechanical filter with sharp skirts.
