 This pair of GE Matched 6JB6A Tubes were purchased from RF Parts for spares and were never used.

 6JB6 and 6JB6A tubes are interchangeable

This tube and all others, has been tested on a B&K Dynaquick 7,00 Tube tester. It shows grid full emission.

Amateur Radios That Use a Pair of 6JB6 / 6JB6A FinalsThe primary (and most common) amateur radio equipment using a pair (two) of these tubes in the final amplifier stage:
  • Drake T-4X and T-4XB transmitters (HF, 160-10m, SSB/CW/AM). These pair with R-4 series receivers for a classic Drake "twins" setup. They deliver around 200-260W input.

Note: The related Drake TR-4 / TR-4C transceivers use three 6JB6/6JB6A tubes. 6JB6 and 6JB6A are generally interchangeable in these circuits (with proper neutralization).These are compact sweep tubes popular in 1960s-1970s Drake designs for their performance and availability at the time. GE, Sylvania, and RCA brands were common; matched pairs are preferred for best balance and output.
