Hallicrafters R-46B Vintage External Tabletop Speaker with 10 Inch Speaker in Very Good Condition #1

 

The Hallicrafters R-46B is a vintage 10-inch external tabletop speaker from the mid-to-late 1950s. It was designed to provide improved audio quality over the small built-in speakers found in most communications receivers of that era. It features a large, heavy steel cabinet with a classic Hallicrafters black finish and silver grille.Specifications
  • Speaker Type: 10-inch Permanent Magnet Dynamic (moving coil / PM)
  • Impedance: 3.2 ohms (voice coil – no internal output transformer)
  • Cabinet: Heavy satin black steel cabinet (shallower depth than the earlier R-46 / R-46A models – approximately 4 inches shallower)
  • Power Handling: Suitable for the audio output of vintage Hallicrafters tube receivers
  • Period: Produced approximately 1955–1959
  • Dimensions: Roughly 13" wide × 10–11" tall × 8–9" deep (typical for this series)

  I have tested this speaker on the air. It sounds great with the original

Cleveland Electronics vintage speaker intact.
  This speaker has some small marks from normal use and still looks pretty good on the table.
