Description

This Harvey-Wells Electronics ATR-3, 1948 AM Aircraft Transceiver is a rare find!

The receiver covered 200-400kHz and Broadcast 550-1650 (ish) kHz

The crystal controlled transmitter operated on 3105kHz (just below the

bottom) of the 80m band!  Back in those days, most of the control towers transmitted on the frequency they were using for receive and also transmitted on either a local  NDB frequency or another freq between 200-400kHz

Small aircraft didn't transmit on 200-400 because the antennas were just too short (and were also pretty short for 3105 kHz too!)

The unit uses a Crystal for the transmit frequency and has 10-12 watts output.

This unit has the 6 VDC Power supply attached.

I have not tested this transceiver and am selling it as is as described for the family of a silent key.
