This Russian Made KP1-12 (КП1-12), Vacuum Variable Capacitor, is rated at 10-1200 PF @ 8 KV Test,  6KV Working Voltage. It is Brand NEW!

  This Vacuum Capacitor is very well made and appears to be very high quality. The Drive unit is super smooth and obviously have a nice roller bearing set.

Because the bearings are so good, the capacitor tends to return to full capacitance with nothing attached to the shaft. when there is a little resistance the plunger stays put to where it is set.

If a turns counter is used, it should prevent the capacitor from returning to full capacitance.

If used in a fixed position, you can lock the shaft somehow and it will no be an issue

It has an integrated front flange and the contact surfaces are silver.
