Description

MFJ-941C Versa Tuner II HF Antenna Tuner in Excellent Working Condition.

I have tested this tuner on the air and it appears to be working great with no problems. The case and front panel looks great.

This is a full featured low cost antenna tuner.

The MFJ-941C is a classic manual HF antenna tuner from MFJ Enterprises, part of the popular Versa Tuner II series. It is designed to match virtually any transmitter (up to 300 watts) to a wide variety of antennas, including random wires, dipoles, inverted vees, verticals, mobile whips, beams, and more. It uses a versatile T-network (or Pi-network) design with two variable capacitors and an inductor for broad matching range on 1.8–30 MHz (160 through 10 meters).Key Features & Specs:
  • Power handling: 300 watts PEP (RF output)
  • Frequency coverage: 1.8–30 MHz continuous
  • Sensitive dual-range cross-needle (or analog) SWR/Wattmeter (30W / 300W scales)
  • Antenna selector switch for multiple antennas or bypass
  • Built-in 4:1 balun for balanced lines (ladder line, open wire)
  • SO-239 connectors for transmitter, antenna, and random wire post
  • Compact desktop size, ideal for portable, mobile, or home station use
  • Rugged construction with air-variable capacitors rated at 1000 volts
This model was popular for its affordability, ease of use, and ability to tune challenging antennas. It is an older version in the 941 series (predecessors to the MFJ-941E, which added a front-panel antenna switch and improved meter in some variants). Many hams still use them successfully for 100-watt transceivers like the IC-7300, FT-891, or TS-590.
