Rola Celestion LTD, G12M T1871 Rare Vintage 1977 Matched Pair (2) Black Back Speakers Made in England  They have the original cones with the 444 stamp indicating they are original.

This highly prized, matching pair of vintage 12-inch Rola Celestion LTD G12M guitar speakers (Model T1871). Stamped with date code JK14, these British classics were manufactured on September 14, 1977.
  These speakers were installed in a Fender Bassman amplifier cabinet by a sound company for a more desirable tone for the guitar players in the late 1970s
 
Unlike standard Greenbacks, the G12M, T1871 features an 8-Ohm impedance, a 55Hz bass resonance, and a lighter 4-ridge spider suspension. This unique design delivers a noticeably more open, organic, and punchy tone with magnificent mid-range crunch. Both speakers have been fully bench-tested, sound absolutely phenomenal, and are ready to drop directly into your vintage Marshall, Vox, or boutique amplifier cabinet.   • Model: G12M (medium magnet version of the iconic Celestion 12" guitar speaker).
  • Production Date: JK14 = approximately mid-April 1977 (Rola Celestion factory in Ipswich, England).
  • Key Characteristics:

    • Impedance:  8Ω  each 
    • Magnet: Ceramic, ~35oz.
    • Voice coil: 1.75".
    • Resonance (Fs): ~75 Hz (standard for these later G12Ms).
    • Tone: Warm, woody mids, smooth breakup, controlled bass, and detailed but not harsh highs. These "Blackback" era speakers are highly regarded for blues, rock, and classic tones — similar to Greenbacks but from the late 1970s with Kurt Mueller-style cones common in that period.
These are desirable original Rola Celestions (not modern reissues). They were popular upgrades in Fender and Marshall cabinets during the 1970s.
