Vibroplex Original Presentation GOLD New in factory box with 11 Midtown Park E, Mobile, Alabama Address S/N 105376 (has some water damage)

Vibroplex Original Presentation New Old Stock (NOS) in original box. Gold-finished base, chrome hardware, red paddles/knob, jeweled movement. Serial #105376. Manufactured at the Mobile, Alabama facility (11 Midtown Park East address on the label) during the late 1990s–early 2000s era. Key itself appears unused; box shows evidence of past moisture with resulting light corrosion/staining limited to the base edges/sides. Classic semi-automatic “bug” telegraph key for CW operators and collectors. Includes original packaging. A scarce opportunity to own a factory-fresh Presentation model from the Mobile production period.

 

Year made / sold: Approximately 1999–2002 (most likely early 2000s). Serial number 105376 falls in the Mobile, Alabama production run. Vibroplex restarted serial numbers at 100000 when the company moved to Mobile in 1995 under owner S. Felton “Mitch” Mitchell (WA4OSR / W4OA). Mobile-era keys used numbers 100000–112999; the last key actually built in Mobile was #112777 (2009). Numbers 112778–112999 used leftover Mobile nameplates after the 2009 move to Knoxville, TN. box label (“11 Midtown Park East, Mobile, AL 36606”) matches the Mobile address used during that period. Exact year-by-year serial data for the Alabama era is not published (the classic Elwood/WW7P chart ends earlier), so the estimate is based on the overall span of ~13,000 numbers across roughly 14 years of Mobile production. The key was almost certainly manufactured and originally sold in that late-1990s / early-2000s window and remained new-old-stock (NOS) in its original box.
