This tube is sealed in the factory shrink wrap package. I received this tube in an RF Parts box which may or may not be original but the factory tube package has never been opened
The Eimac 4CX1000A (also known as 8168) is a ceramic/metal, forced-air cooled, radial-beam power tetrode with a maximum plate dissipation of 1000 watts. It is a low-voltage, high-current tube designed primarily for Class AB1 RF linear amplifier or high-power audio amplifier service, offering high gain and low distortion.
Key Specifications

- Cooling: Forced air (requires proper socket and chimney, e.g., SK-800B socket + SK-806 chimney)
- Frequency: Up to 110 MHz for full ratings
- Typical Uses: High-power HF/VHF linear amplifiers, broadcast, industrial RF, and specialized audio applications. Popular in professional and amateur radio setups requiring 1 kW+ capability.

Eimac date codes from that era typically use formats indicating month/year or week/year. A 1982 manufacture makes it genuine New Old Stock (NOS) from a respected production period.
