Description
Heathkit Matching SB-301 SSB Receiver and SB-401 Transmitter in Collector Quality Cosmetic Condition Needs Work
This beautiful transmitter and Receiver set, was purchased about 30 years ago and was part of a large collection that was displayed in a clean dry environment and not used for all this time.
As you can see by the pictures, They are both in Collector quality cosmetic condition
I checked them on my bench and the transmitter lights all the tubes and the HV looks good. When placed in the tune position the TX relay clicks but there is no drive or output.
The receiver also lights all the tubes and the preselector peaks the band noise but it does not receive signals. It is likely an alignment issue of one of the oscillators but I can not say for sure.
I am selling them as is, as described for parts or repair.
I have been packing and shipping heavy vintage gear for over 30 years and this item with be packed better than any paid packing service.
If the shipping cost turns out to be lower than my quote, I will refund the difference.
