Key Specifications and Features
  • Bands: 10, 15, 20, 40, and 75 meters (HF amateur bands).

  • Type: Superheterodyne receiver (likely single or dual conversion; exact details sparse but typical for compact mobile designs of the period).
  • Power: Requires external power supply/voltage (not self-contained; common for Morrow mobile gear).

  • Design: Very compact for dashboard or mobile installation. Part of Morrow’s line of mobile ham equipment, often paired with converters or transmitters.
  • Era/Notes: 1954 vintage. Collectible due to rarity and association with early mobile amateur radio. Similar to other Morrow models like the MBR-5 (more common dual-conversion mobile receiver covering similar bands).

It was marketed as a compact, high-performance option for hams wanting multi-band HF reception in a vehicle or small space. Construction is typical 1950s tube-based with solid build quality for the time.
