Description
RCA 811A Vacuum Tube Date Code 6948 NOS Full Output
I tested this 811A in an Ameritron 811 Amplifier and it is full emission. In Fact it tested more output than most of all the 811A tubes I tested.
The date codes indicates it is a 1969 vintage tube, which are known as being among the best made.
The original box was in very poor condition however the tube is in perfect shape.
RCA 811A (Radiotron) is a classic high-mu power triode vacuum tube, widely used in RF power amplifiers, oscillators, and Class B/C modulators, especially in amateur radio transmitters and linear amplifiers (e.g., Ameritron AL-811 series and older ham gear).
